Blue Adriatic

In the early 80's, the San Jose Croatian Church started a tamburitza ensemble comprised of the young parisioners eager to play a musical instrument. After a couple of years, the group disbanded, but the remaining tamburitza enthusiasts formed their own group, which they named Blue Adriatic. The group was made up of the three Gudeli brothers, two of the Barbir brothers, and Emil Jakovcevic. The group played primarily instrumental music for many years, until they became brave enough to sing.

The group went through several transitions over the years, and recently decided to change their name to Sidro, when they were about to release their first album.
